John the Horse

A long time ago, when there was no cars, how did people get around?
You couldn't take a train and you couldn't take a plane and you couldn't just drive to town.
My great, great, great, great grand daddy had an animal he called John.
Had two eyes, two ears, four legs, one back which he rode upon.

It was a horse, of course, of course of course of course
It was a horse, of course, of course of course of course
It was a horse, of course, of course of course of course
It was a horse, of course, of course of course of course!

Now John the horse was a happy horse and he was a mighty good friend.
He'd always come a'runnin' when he seen grand dad said take me for a ride again!
He'd saddle him up and jump on his back and ride him into town.
Cause there was no buses and no subways, you had to ride a horse to get around!

He rode a horse, of course, of course of course of course
He rode a horse, of course, of course of course of course
He rode a horse, of course, of course of course of course
He rode a horse, of course, of course of course of course!
He rode a horse, of course!

Listen to the Raindrops

Listen to the raindrops, falling on the roof top, they're really coming down.
Falling everywhere, it's gathering in the puddles and makin' mud all around.
Can't go outside and fool around, can't go and play in the muck.
It's wet outside and you'll really, really like it, if you are a duck!

Listen to the raindrops, falling on the roof, can't go outside today.
We'll stay inside and find lots to do and lots of games to play.
We'll get out some crayons, get out some books, and toys and puppets too.
We'll read some stories and write some poems and even sing a song or two.

Pitter patter, pitter patter, rain on the roof and it's falling to the ground.
Pitter patter, pitter patter, rain on the roof and it sure is a wonderful sound.

Listen to the raindrops, falling on the roof, it's raining very hard.

Filling up the puddles and the lakes and the streams and the holes in your backyard.
Now rain is water and we all need water and that is why it rains.
Now listen to the rhythm of the tiny little raindrops on your window pane.

Now listen to the rhythm of the tiny little raindrops on your window pane.

My Unicorn

In my imagination I have a friend.
He comes to visit me now and then.
He looks like a horse but he has two wings.
A horn in his forehead, a wonderful thing.
Yes, it's my unicorn, yes it's my unicorn.

When I get tired I will just close my eyes.
And jump on his back, he'll take me for a ride.
We'll fly thru the sky like a bird so high.
Higher and higher, away we will fly.
On the back of my unicorn, on the back of my unicorn.

When I awake I know I have been, on a fantastic journey with my good friend.
When ever I want I can go again, I just close my eyes and we'll ride the wind.
On the back of my unicorn, on the back of my unicorn.

We're gonna have us a real good time, down at Maffy's Cafe

They've got French Fries, and burgers to, down at Maffy's Cafe
Some soda pop for me and you, down at Maffy's Cafe
We'll ask the waitress "If you please, a glass of orange that's freshly squeezed
Or maybe some yogurt from the deep-freeze", down at Maffy's Cafe

Down at Maffy's Cafe we will meet with all out friends.
And when we're thru ol' Maff himself will say, "You all come back again!"

We've had out food and something to drink, down at Maffy's Cafe
We stayed so long it's later than I think, down at Maffy's Cafe
Well now it's time to leave Maffys, we'll be back tomorrow you just wait and see
My favorite place for you and me is down at Maffy's Cafe
My favorite place for you and me is down at Maffy's Cafe

I'm a little white chicken I live on the farm, I love to cluck and play.

I peck and I scratch and I dig up the ground and I lay an egg a day.
I peck and I scratch and I dig up the ground and I lay an egg a day.

I'm a little goldfish I live on the farm I swim in the water.
I'm a little goldfish I live on the farm I swim in the water.
The water is cool I live in a school and I share my home with an otter.
The water is cool I live in a school and I share my home with an otter.

I'm a little yellow duck I live on the farm, I'll never fly away.

I live in the pond down on the farm and I quack and swim and swim and quack all day.
I live in the pond down on the farm and I quack and swim and swim and quack all day.

I'm an old blood hound I live on the farm I yelps at the moon.
I'm an old blood hound I live on the farm I yelps at the moon.
I sleep some in the morning on the porch in the sun then I sleep some in the afternoon.
I sleep some in the morning on the porch in the sun then I sleep some in the afternoon.

I'm a big brown horse I live on the farm, I love to eat hay.
I'm a big brown horse I live on the farm, I love to eat hay.
I take you for a ride and we'll run around outside and I like to eat an apple a day.
I take you for a ride and we'll run around outside and I like to eat an apple a day.

These are some animals that live on the farm lets make a sound like them.

Sometimes I Feel
Click speaker to listen to this songrecorded on Homemade-Remade by Brent & Woofy
©1993 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

(Spoken) Do you kids know what emotions and feelings are?  Sure!  That's when you're happy, or sad, or giddy or mad!  Or sometimes when you just feel great!  Here's a song about emotions and feelings called "Sometimes I Feel."

Sometimes I feel happy
Sometimes I feel sad
Sometimes I feel giddy
Sometimes I feel mad.

Sometimes I feel lousy
Sometimes I feel fine
Sometimes I feel frustration
But I'm happy most of the time.

And sometimes I'm so sleepy
I feel like taking a nap
Ohhh sometimes I get so tired
I think I'll take a sleep right here on my mommy's lap.
(Spoken)  I think Brent fell asleep!  We better wake him up!  Can you help me?  I'll count to three and we'll yell "Wake up Brent!"  One!  Two!  Three!  WAKE UP BRENT!!!

Well sometimes I'm awake
And I feel like having some fun
Sometimes I'm so full of energy
I gotta run and run and run and run and run.

Sometimes I'm so lonely
I don't know what to do...Wait a minute!  I know what to do (What Brent)
I'll get on my bike and I'll ride to your house
And I won't be lonely when I'm with you.

Well sometimes I'm so happy
It's a positive frame of mind
Sometimes I feel we could move mountains
If we only just give it some time.

And sometimes I feel lucky
Sometimes I feel special too
Sometimes I feel that you love me
And I know it's true that you do.

Sometimes I'm so happy
It's just a bubbling up inside
Sometimes I'm so proud of you
I'm burstin' cus I'm so full of pride.

Well sometimes I feel these feelings
But ninety nine percent of the time
I'm happy as you cus you know it's true
It's from all the love that we find.
I'm happy as you cus you know it's true
It's from all the love that we find.

There was two...two...round and around around
There was two...two...round and around around.

There was three little frogs, sitting on a log, Ribit, Ribit, Ribit

Thank You Mr. D

I wanna thank you Mr. D, for the time you've given me.
Half an hour in the morning that is mine.
I wanna thank you Mr. D, every day at ten thirty,
Half an hour of glorious free time.

I wanna thank you Mr. D, keeping my kids company,
while I wash the dishes and do some cleaning up.
I wanna thank you Mr. D, for your life upon TV,
drawing pictures and singing songs and dressing up.

Oh Mr. D in the morning even when the sun don't shine.
We'll sit around the TV and have a good time.
Mr. D…hey buddy, thanks for everything you've done.
Making all the kids happy and filling them full of fun.

I wanna thank you Mr. D, my kids always get happy,
every time that we turn on your show.
I wanna thank you Mr. D, I speak for all the family.
It's something we just wanted you to know.

Oh Mr. D well I watched you way back when I was a kid.
And now that I'm much older, you're still just as good.
To Mr. D and you puppets and the ones who play your songs,
we just want to say thank you for taking us along.

Well now thank you Mr. D, it's always a pleasure to see,
your smiling face upon the TV.
I wanna thank you Mr. D, every day at ten thirty.
From me to you and all your friends, thanks Ernie!

A pocketful of jellybeans, I love those things, I love to munch a bunch each day
Jelly in my belly, a smile upon my face, hey hey.
A pocketful of jellybeans, they're marvelous things, I eat them both day and night
And I'll share my beans with you, the jelly too, all right!

They come in green and blue, and orange too, and maybe even red
Pink and yellow, green and black, a wonderful snack, I even eat then when I'm in bed.

A pocketful of jellybeans, I love those things, I love to munch a bunch each day
Jelly in my belly, a smile upon my face, hey hey.

They come in green and blue, and orange too, and maybe even red
Pink and yellow, green and black, a wonderful snack, I even eat then when I'm in bed.

Dreamtime
Click speaker to listen to this songrecorded on Homemade-Remade by Brent & Woofy
©1993 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

Lay down your head and close your eyes and I'll sing you off to sleep.
Dream land awaits with stories and fantasy.
I'll sing a song of love and the moon and the stars and the wind whispers thru the trees.
The music fills your thoughts with peace and harmony.

So sleep little child, let the earth fade away and dream of wondrous things.
Take a ride on the back of a dragon, spread his wings.
Or a warm summers day where you've gone to play in the flowers with the butterflies.
Or sprout you own wings and fly among the things in the sky.

So close your eyes, and  fantasize.
And dream lovely dreams and it almost seems like the world has slipped away.

Dream time and sleep time go hand in hand and the dreams will fill your sleep.
And the stories that you find are yours to keep.
So lay down your head and close your eyes and let the visions dance in your mind.
Those very special dreams are only for you to find.

So close your eyes, and  fantasize.
And dream lovely dreams and it almost seems like the world has slipped away.

So close your eyes, and  fantasize.
And dream lovely dreams and it almost seems like the world has slipped away.

Shine, Shine, Shine…every morning we can shine!
Say Hello to this brand new day, c'mon we'll have a good time!
Everyday brings something new, I wonder what we'll find.
Wake up in the morning, Rise and Shine!

It's a beautiful day, c'mon let's play, we'll find something cool to do.
We can run and jump and skip and bump and I love to play with you.
Everyday we'll find something new to discover.
Jump outta bed, you sleepy heads and throw back your covers!

Chorus

There's a great big world full of wonderful things just waiting for you and me.
If we open ours eyes, we'd realize that there's lots for us to see.
There's caterpillars, snakes, and great big lakes and rocks and apple trees.
So jump outta bed you sleepy head, c'mon discover with me!

Chorus

Let's go for a walk in the park, smell flowers and listen to bees.
We'll find a creek and take a peek at the fishes and the weeds.
This great big world is full of life and wonders for you to see.
So jump outta bed you sleepy head, c'mon and shine with me!

Choast, Choast, beautiful Choast,

Choast, Choast, beautiful Choast,
Cheese and toast makes Choast.
Cheese and toast makes Choast.

To make some Choast here's what you need,
a slice of bread and some wonderful cheese.
A little bit of pepper and some orange salt,
And three hundred and fifty degrees.

Chorus

Ask your Mom or Dad to slice the cheese,
And turn on the oven, don't forget to say please!!
And the salt and pepper and some TLC.
It's as easy as One...Two...Three.

Chorus

Now place it in the oven for ten or fifteen
Minutes until the cheese is melty.
I think it's ready, can I have some please.
Let's have some toast and cheese!

Rockin' Roddy Rabbit
recorded on Shine Shine Shine by Brent & Woofy
©1995 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

Rockin' Roddy Rabbit is a rock n' roll star.
He sings rock songs and he plays his guitar.
Rockin' Roddy Rabbit is the coolest dude around.
He loves to play his music with that rock n' roll sound.
We wails on his guitar and puts the crowd in a trace.
And they really go crazy when Roddy starts to dance.

He's got a bear on drums and a cat on saxophone.
A dog plays bass and a frog on slide trombone.
A monkey plays piano and pig plays a kazoo.
The cows are back-up singers, they sing "Moo Moo Moo!"
When Rockin' Roddy Rabbit and his band comes to town.
We'll all go out to see him and we'll really get down.

Well now the show is over, Roddy's headed for the door.
The crowd is going crazy and they want to hear some more.
They're shouting "Rockin' Roddy Rockin' Roddy do an encore!"
So Roddy keeps on playing and he dances on the floor.
Rockin' Roddy Rabbit is the coolest dude around.
We'll all go out to see him and we'll really get down.

If A Snail Could Talk
recorded on Shine Shine Shine by Brent & Woofy
©1995 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

If a snail could talk, I'm sure he would say,
"I travel a lot, I go far away.
I take by belongings wherever I go.
I'm not in a hurry, I always go slow."

"And if I go there, then there becomes here,
And if I am here, then there must be near.
And if I am here, and go over there,
Then there becomes here and here becomes there!"

"The life of a snail is quite solitary,
and on my back there's a shell that I carry.
I transport my house wherever I roam.
Wherever I am, I'm always at home!"

Driving Along Singing a Song
recorded on Shine Shine Shine by Brent & Woofy
©1995 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

Driving along singing a song, riding in the car.
Got no place to go, we're taking it slow, we're driving both near and far.
Driving along singing a song, just going with the breeze.
Over country hills and old dusty
trails, passing house, lakes and trees.

Driving along singing a song, me and my bubby.
He's younger than me, but actually he is my son you see.
Driving along singing a song, he says "Look Dad there's a farm.
It's got chickens and hogs and cattle and dogs some houses and a big red barn.

We'll drive by a cave and a pond and a field  with some rocks and trees and more.
Looking out of the car we can see that there are lots of wondrous things that we can explore.

Driving along singing a song, nothing concerns me.
The sun always shines, these are good times, we're as happy as can be.
Driving along singing a song, on a Sunday afternoon.
Don't worry mom, cos I'm with my chum, and we'll be home soon.
Don't worry mom, cos I'm with my chum, and we'll be home soon.

On Halloween
recorded on Shine Shine Shine by Brent & Woofy
©1995 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

If you go out on Halloween night
Remember there are things that just might
Fill your body full of fright
On Halloween

There's witches and warlocks and black cats too
And Draculas, yes quite a few
And scary ghosts that might frighten you
On Halloween

Beware that Frankenstein and friends
The werewolf and mummy are out again
This scary night may never end
On Halloween

The witch is cooking up a special brew
It had goblins and zombies and vampires too
A little white ghost who likes to yell BOO!
On Halloween

Chorus
On Halloween, On Halloween
The scariest sights that you've ever seen
Come out by the light of the night
On Halloween

If you go out to trick or treat
To get yourself some sweets to eat
Be sure to have running shoes on your feet
On Halloween

If you go out beware of them
There's eerie spirits and skeletons
There out to spook you, you just don't know when
On Halloween

Chorus

When It Rains
recorded on Shine Shine Shine by Brent & Woofy
©1995 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

Do you ever wonder, when you hear the thunder, where's it's from?
Do you ever think about, when it's cold and rainy out, how come?

The sky cries rain to the earth and plants below.
Nourishing the growing seed, giving them just what they need so they can grow.

The next time that you see the rain, close you eyes and think again, why?
Think about it, you will know it's so the little seeds can grow up high.

Drinking water through the roots is how a plant survives.
So let it rain all around, soaking all the drinking ground and let those seedlings thrive.

The next time that you want to play outside on a rainy day, you'll know.
It rains to feed those little plants and give them all a healthy chance to grow.

(Spoken)
The next time that you see the rain, close you eyes and think again, why?
Think about it, you will know it's so the little seeds can grow up high.

It rains to feed those little plants, and then they grow.
I love the rain, don't you?

Well I pick up my guitar and I sing a song.
C'mon everybody and sing along.
Clap and dance and sing in your own way.
We're gonna have some fun today.

You are my friends and family.
Singing a song, making music with me.
That's when the music magic comes true.
When I'm singing my song with you.

Chorus
And it's so nice to be with you today.
I get out my guitar and I start to play.
And when we start singing this is what we'll say.
Oh Yah!!  All Right!!  Oh Yah!!  All Right!!

Now that we are singing let's sing some more.
Dancin' and a jiggin" across the floor.
Having fun and singing makes me happy.
Now sing along with me.

C'mon everybody get off you seat.
C'mon everybody and move your feet.
Singin' and a dancin' the whole day thru.
Well I love to sing with you.

The Toad and Frog
recorded on Shine Shine Shine by Brent & Woofy
©1995 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

Once there was a Toad and Frog who sat upon a hollow log
catching flies and munching them all day.
Said the Toad to the Frog, "Why do we sit on this log?
Isn't is more fun to go and play?"

Splash went the water as the Toad jumped in.
Jumping from the lily pad he took a swim.
He yelled "Hey Frog the water's fine.
C'mon jump in and we'll have a good time."

The Frog he said "Hey Toad you know we got to catch more flies so
our bellies will be full for a while."
The Toad he said, "Oh pffffffft to that, playing around is where it's at."
He winked and splashed and gave the Frog a smile.

The Toad went of to play and the Frog stayed where he was.
Catching flies with his ol' tongue cos that is what he does.
The Frog he stayed and ate his flies until he had his fill.
But somewhere out in the pond the Toad is splashing still.

And now the day is ending and the little Frog is sending out
a 'ribbit' for his friend the Toad to hear.
"Just swim yourself on back my friend, the day is nearly at an end
and darkness of the night is almost here."

The Frog he settles in for a long evening nap.
The Toad is huffin' and puffin' as he swims on back.
Said the Toad "I'm hungry is there anything to eat?"
"No there's not. You played so long the flies have gone to sleep!"

So now the Toad is hungry and there's nothing in his tummy.
He played to long and didn't catch his flies.
He should have listened to the Frog and stayed out there upon the log.
Man that old Frog is sure wise. Oh yah. Man that old Frog is sure wise!

All Dinosaurs Have Gone To Heaven
recorded on Shine Shine Shine by Brent & Woofy
©1995 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

A long time ago, when there were dinosaurs.
They lived on this earth, and then they went away.
But I wonder, yes I wonder where are the dinosaurs.
Yes I wonder, oh I wonder where are they today?

Not so very long ago, a man found a dinosaur.
He dug up the bones and put them on display.
But I wonder, yes I wonder where are the dinosaurs.
Yes I wonder, oh I wonder where are they today?

All dinosaurs have gone to heaven.
We dig up their bones, we're gonna get 'em.
Put 'em in a museum so you can see 'em.
All dinosaurs have gone to heaven.

All dinosaurs have gone to heaven.
All dinosaurs have gone to heaven.
All dinosaurs have gone to heaven.
All dinosaurs have gone to heaven.

All dinosaurs have gone to heaven.
All dinosaurs have gone to heaven.
All dinosaurs have gone to heaven.
All dinosaurs have gone to heaven.

A candy cane, a popcorn string, some tinsel here and there.
A shiny star that goes on top and a touch of angel hair.
Some presents that go underneath, there's one for you and me.
Let's add some pretty ornaments to our Christmas tree.

There's a jolly guy in a big red suit, his beard is snowy white.
His hat is red like Rudolph's nose and his boots as black as night.
His name is Claus and what he does is slide down chimneys.
To leave you presents and fill your stockings all on Christmas eve.

Chorus
It's Christmas time, it's Christmas time, it's Christmas everywhere
Christmas time, it's Christmas time, Christmas fills the air.

So now it's time to go to sleep while Santa makes his rounds.
Jump into bed and turn off the light and lay your body down.
The sooner you sleep, the sooner you'll wake to see your big surprise.
It's under the tree just as big as life, and it's right before your eyes.

Chorus

It's Christmas day, you get to play with all your cool new toys.
Moms and dads and Santa Claus loves all you girls and boys.
It's dinner time so lets go eat cos Mom's be cooking all day.
There's turkey and cranberries, taters and gravy or what a what to say!

Chorus 2X

Does it snow at your house at Christmas?
Is the color of your grass white or greenish?
Do you need a snow shovel or do you have a puddle?
Does it snow at your house at Christmas?

Snow needs cold to make the rain froze to make the little flakes of white fall from the sky.
At my house it hardly ever snows it doesn't get cold enough and I don't know why.

Does it snow at your house at Christmas?
Is the color of your grass white or greenish?
Does the snow fall down, blanketing the ground?
Does it snow at your house at Christmas?

Check the air to see if it's there the cold that makes snow that falls down.
Where's your house, is it cold enough at Christmas time for the snow to cover the ground?

Does it snow at your house at Christmas?
Is the color of your grass white or greenish?
Is it cold in the air, is there snow everywhere?
Does it snow at your house at Christmas?

Does it snow at your house at Christmas?
Is the color of your grass white or greenish?
Do you need a snow shovel or do you have a puddle?
Does it snow at your house at Christmas?
Does it snow at your house at Christmas?
Does it snooooooooooooooooowwwwwwwww?

Snow. Snow. Does it snow at your house at Christmas?
Snow. Snow. Does it snow at your house at Christmas?
Snow. Snow. Does it snow at your house at Christmas?

Wake up Christmas morning, rush down to the tree.
See what Santa brought you, is it what you wanted it to be?
Look at all those presents, look at what I see.
You know Santa Claus has been down the chimney.

What did Santa bring you, what did he bring for me?
He brought you a brand new bicycle and a dog toy for Woofy.
He fits them all in his toy sack and he slides down the chimney.
I don't know how he does it I just believe!

Chorus
When Santa comes down the chimney, he brings lots of games and toys.
He puts them under the Christmas tree for all the girls and boys.
You never see or hear him, cos he never makes any noise.
When Santa comes down the chimney, he brings lots of games and toys.

Every year at Christmas time my boys and I jump in the car and head up tot Gogo's Christmas Tree Farm to find the perfect Christmas tree.  These trips inspired me to write this song.  For a map to Gogo's Christmas Tree Farm click here.

Well gather up the kids and jump in the car
We're goin' for a ride and it's not very far
We're gonna get us a Christmas tree at Gogo's farm

We'll drive up the mountain to South Forks Road
Just out of Nanaimo, that's where we'll go
We're gonna get us a Christmas tree at Gogo's farm

They grow tall ones, short ones, fat ones too
Any kind of tree that you wanna choose
There's thousands of tree on the hills at Gogo's farm
We'll wander thru the trees till we find the right one
And then we'll cut it down, it'll be so much fun
We gotta get it home so we'll strap it to the roof of the car

It's a wonderful outing for family and friends
I can't wait till next year , we're gonna do it again
We got the perfect Christmas tree from Gogo's farm

Under a Star
recorded on Under a Star by Brent & Woofy

We all live in the moment, we all live where we are
We all live in our bodies, under a shining star
Under a star, that’s where we are

Take a look at the night sky, tell me what do you see
A billion stars or just one, accept it and you’ll be
Under a star, that’s where we are

Look way up in the night sky – there’s one for you and I
Forever shining bright
Look way up, way up high, see your star shining in the sky
Forever shine its light on you tonight

We all breathe in the same air – live under the same sun
Were the same but were different – we live our life as one
Under a star, that’s where we are

I Have a Little Dog
recorded on Under a Star by Brent & Woofy
©2003 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

I have a little dog
His name is Woofy
He’s a cute little dog
And he loves me
I have a little dog
I take him to the park
We go for a walk
Before it gets dark

I love my little dog
That’s plain to see
He comes when I call
And he loves me, me, me

I have a little dog
He’s my best friend
A special little dog
We’re friends to the end

Woofy sings

I am a little dog
My name is Woofy
I’m a cute little dog
You gotta love me
I am a little dog
I like to go to the park
Take me for a walk
Before it gets dark

I am a little dog
I am canine
I like to sing
A good song like "Shine Shine Shine"

I am a little dog
I’m your best friend
A special little dog
I’m your friend to the end

Brent – he’s your friend to the end

A Chain Guard and a Fender
recorded on Under a Star by Brent & Woofy
©2003 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

When I was just a little boy my daddy got me a cool toy
Best toy I ever got I remember
It’s got two wheels and its painted blue
It’s got three speeds and a kick stand two
It’s got a chain guard and a fender

My old bike was my best friend
Rode it everywhere and then
I rode that bike to school in September
I rang the bell everyone would glance
Never thought the chain would catch my pants
Cos it’s got a chain guard and a fender

I’d ride that bike just as fast as I could - Over there hills and thru the woods
Got off the roads to the trails that were rougher
Sometimes I’d fall and bonk my head - No time to cry just rode inside
Didn’t need a helmet back then cos the kids were tougher

That bike was my best possession
Topped the list of my toy collection
I loved that bike so much I’d never lend her
To any child who was smaller than me
But the bigger kids got to ride it for free
My old bike with the a chain guard and a fender

I had that bike many years ago
Where it is now I just don’t know
Bikes have changed a lot from what I remember
When I young child sees a bike today
There ain’t much to it I can hear them say
Hey Brent what’s a chain guard and a fender?
Hey Brent what’s a chain guard and a fender?

Woke up this morning it was a beauty day
Asked my mom if could go and play
She said son I got something to say
A big surprise for you is on the way

A special ride that lifts you off the ground
Flying high in something big and round
A big balloon will take you in the sky
A big balloon and you can fly

Fly, fly in a big balloon
Fly so high we can touch the moon
Fly, all day until the afternoon
Fly, fly in a big balloon. A big balloon. A big balloon.

Close Your Eyes
recorded on Under a Star by Brent & Woofy
©2003 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

When you sleep tonight - close your eyes and listen to the thoughts - that fill up your sleep
When you lay down tonight - open up your heart and feel the feeling - that runs you in you so deep

Listen to the thoughts that fill your mind
Understand they’re right the first time

Close your eyes and dream in the moment
Close your eyes everything is clear
Close your eyes and let your world go silent
And you’ll see - what you need to hear - close your eyes.

When your dreams come true - you know its cos you wished them and you know - that someone’s watching o-ver you
When you wish for things - you’ll see it in your dreams so be descriptive what you wish for - and they’ll come true

Listen to the thoughts form in your mind
They’re telling you you’re right the first time

Chorus

Close your eyes and dream in the moment
Close your eyes everything is near

Stop and Look Around
recorded on Under a Star by Brent & Woofy
©2003 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

If you always rush around – never stop to look around good things in your life will pass you by
If you go thru life too fast – never take the time to ask – life will pass you by you won't know why

You gotta stop – and look around
Smell the roses growing from the ground
You gotta stop and take you time
Everything is fine

Ever heard a grown up say - they need to take some time today to be alone or just be by themselves
It’s not because they don't love you - or that they’ve got something to do – it’s just a little break, good for their health

You gotta stop – and look around
Smell the roses growing from the ground
You gotta stop and take you time
Everything is fine

If you don't stop and smell those roses they’ll surely die
They’re growing there for you to take a whiff and exclaim, my oh my
There’s a lot of great thing in this world that are so very fine
In order to see them you gotta breathe them, and give them some time.

If you think you’ve got no time - that usually is a sign - that life for you is going way too fast
Don't forget important things - like happiness your friends can bring - so slow on down and make you life last

You gotta stop – and look around
Smell the roses growing from the ground
You gotta stop and take you time
Everything is fine

A Song For Woofy To Sing.

I like to sleep, as much as I can
Sleeping is good, for dog and for man
I like to sleep, I sleep all day
I only wake up when it’s time to eat and play

I sleep in the sunshine, I sleep in the rain
I sleep where I lay down, I sleep on the train

I like to sleep, sleeping is good
I’d sleep my life away, if I could I would
I like to sleep, I sleep like a log
I am allowed to sleep all I want cos I am a dog

I like to sleep
I like to sleep
I like to sleep

Who Are You and What Do You Do
recorded on Under a Star by Brent & Woofy
©2003 Brent Boehler Shows / Words and Music by Brent Lindsay Boehler / SOCAN

Who are you and what do you do
You can do anything you want to
Who are you and what can you be
Be what you’re good at life is easy

Try different things until you find
The one you like to do the best
Do it and do it well one hundred percent
Don’t even think about the rest

Chorus

You have a place on earth so do what you do
And you’ll get your share of the pie
It’s up to you what do you choose
Ninety five percent of five

Chorus
